As we celebrate our heritage and look forward to the plans God has ahead of us, some campus improvements are being addressed. The remodel will make improvements to the Worship Center, Lobby, Kids Ministry and Adult Education space. Work begins March 18, 2024 and is scheduled to take 4-6 months.

In 1850 several families established FBC Cedar Hill just as the city of Cedar Hill was founded. In 1884 they would build their first Sanctuary in the location we meet today. Since then other buildings have been added as the church has grown and continued to minister to Cedar Hill.
Over the past 2.5 years we have celebrated an increase of nearly 100 people which includes many families with children. This growth coupled with several areas that need updates makes now a great opportunity to build on the legacy that began in 1850.
The remodel will prioritize three of our key spaces: Worship Center, Lobby, Education Building.
In the Worship Center, the stage will be leveled and lowered to a height that allows for an enhanced connection of those on the platform and in the pews.
The entire room will receive a fresh coat of paint. The carpet will be replaced with a durable, modern option that couples well with our notable green pews. The AV Booth will also receive cosmetic upgrades with new carpet and cabinets.
One of the most common accolades we receive is how welcome we make everyone feel. We want to improve our interaction with guests through an upgraded Guest Center. This area will be showcased by a feature wall displaying a welcoming message for all who enter.
Who doesn’t like fresh coffee on a Sunday morning? We’ve got you covered with a charming self-serve coffee bar accented with our logo overhead.
The restrooms will receive much needed improvements embellished with new tile, automatic fixtures, baby changing stations, and stylish lighting.
One of the best parts of the remodel is an improved and spacious check-in area for our kids. The area features a seating area made just for our kids to sit and hang out with friends. Parents will love the spacious counter providing 3 kiosks to get your kids checked in. For our mothers, we are thrilled to offer an improved and comfortable room for you to take care of your child.
The entire hall will receive contemporary paint upgrades along with one of the coolest floors that will guide your kids to their rooms. Additionally, an ADA bathroom will be added for our amazing Kids Ministry Volunteers to use.
Adults, we didn’t forget about you. Upstairs in the Education Building will also get fresh paint throughout to match the improved lobby.
