D-Groups

1 Thessalonians 5:11

…encourage one another and

build one another up.

The Discipleship Group (D-Group) environment encourages us to engage with God’s Word and God’s people in a way most of us never have before. D-Group is a highly relational and committed group of believers that are calling each other to look more like Jesus.

How do I start a D-Group?

Identify 2-3 people that you want to encourage and be encouraged by in your walk with Jesus. Invite each of them to join you at a certain date, time, and location. During your first meeting share more about your desire to meet regularly with a group of believers to read and memorize scripture, discuss application and life, and pray for one another. If they are in - boom, you’ve got your group!

D-Group Rhythms

This is a guide you can use each time you meet.

Fellowship - 10 Minutes | Begin by catching up. Have each person share their “high” or “low” since you last met.

Scripture Memory - 5-10 Minutes | Have everyone quote the memory verse and discuss what stood out to you about the verse.

Bible Reading - 20-30 Minutes | Discuss what stood out to you in your personal Bible reading. Share key insights you recorded and significant take-aways.

Accountability - 10-20 Minutes | How have you struggled this week? When is the struggle occurring? Why is it happening?

Prayer - 10 Minutes | Finish the time by having each person share something specific and personal the group can pray for.
